Rasaraja Dasa

Brief Bio

Prof. Rasaraja dasa is the director of Bhaktivedanta Institute (BI) and the newly formed Institute of Semantic Information Sciences and Technology (InSIST) at Mumbai and Berkeley. He combines an in-depth training in both science and religion. After his masters in electronics engineering, he moved to USA where he worked for a number of Fortune-500 companies including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Burroughs and IBM as a freelance software specialist in the areas of operating system design, data communications and very-large database design. He then turned to academics, and does full-time research and graduate level teaching.  He is an ordained Vaishnava monk for thirty years in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, and is a servant of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, who has founded ISKCON and the Bhaktivedanta Institute. He has lectured in universities throughout the world on both science and religion.
